Is Tiger Woods on the verge of a comeback?
The question of when and if he returns to competition remains unanswered, but Woods’ fans now have another hint that a comeback is on the way.
The 15-time major champion may be seen on the range with his son during a junior golf competition in Florida, according to a photo shared on Twitter. While clutching a golf club, Woods looks to be putting weight on his legs without help. In the shot, his right leg, which was fractured in both the upper and lower regions of the tibia and fibula bones in a car accident on Feb. 23, is no longer in a cast but is covered with a sleeve.
For the first time since the incident in Los Angeles, the 45-year-old was observed placing weight on his legs in late July. He appeared to be making progress with his recuperation after around two and a half months.
Woods has largely remained out of the spotlight since the accident, but he did help Team USA win the Ryder Cup by speaking with the whole American team over the phone ahead of Friday’s opening round at Whistling Straits.
