The United States Golf Association revealed its 2022 executive committee candidates on Tuesday. The 15-member executive committee serves as the USGA’s policy-making and governing body and is responsible for strategic and budgetary monitoring.
Stu Francis, who is in his seventh year on the USGA Executive Committee, will serve as president for the last year of his three-year term, with Fred Perpall, who is in his third year on the committee, as president-elect. Tony Anderson and Deborah Platt Majoras were nominated for a second three-year term on the committee, while Sinclair Eaddy Jr. and Kevin Hammer were each nominated for a three-year term.
“I’m looking forward to working with Stu, Fred, and the rest of the USGA Executive Committee,” said Mike Whan, USGA CEO, in a statement. “I appreciate their devotion to and passion for the game’s future, as well as their support of the organization and its purpose.”
The committee members will be elected during the USGA’s annual meeting in Carlsbad, California, on Saturday, February 19, 2022. If elected, Eaddy and Hammer will succeed Mike Bailey and Stephen Beebe, who are retiring.
