On February 22nd, Fred Couples and his new wife, Suzanne, said “I do.”
Boom Boom, a 15-time PGA Tour winner and 1992 Masters champion, recently remarried during the PGA Tour Champions Cologuard Classic, and from the wedding photo, he appeared to be ready to go directly from the ceremony to the first tee for a short round.
“We had a beautiful party,” Couples said of the ceremony. “Suzanne invited a tiny amount and I invited a small bit.” “We’ve been married for nine days, so we’re still on our honeymoon.”
Couples has 13 senior victories, the most recent of which came in 2017 at the American Family Insurance Championship, as well as two senior majors, the 2011 Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship and the 2012 Senior Open Championship. The 62-year-old is in the field for this week’s Hoag Classic, where he will be grouped with last week’s winner Miguel Angel Jiménez and Jim Furyk to begin the week.
