The USGA has announced the qualifying sites for the US Women’s Open at Pine Needles.

This year's U.S. Women's Open qualifiers have been announced by the United States Golf Association (USGA).

The USGA has announced the qualifying sites for the US Women’s Open at Pine Needles.

The USGA announced the qualifying venues for the US Women’s Open on Wednesday. The tournament will be held at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina, from June 2 to 5.

Qualifying will take place in 26 locations throughout the world, including South Korea, England, and Japan. The 36-hole qualifying will be held between April 19 and May 16, and will be available to female professionals and amateurs with a handicap index of no more than 2.4. The application period for online entries begins on February 16 and runs until April 6.

This Women’s Open feels grander than ever as Muirfield prepares to make history.

Last year’s U.S. Women’s Open at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, California, received 1,595 entries. Because of the pandemic, qualifying was canceled in 2020, and no international competitions have been held in the last two years.

The only two players to win the US Women’s Open after qualifying are Hilary Lunke (2003) and Birdie Kim (2005).
