UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, ABU DHABI — Ryan Fox will go into the final round of the Ras Al Khaimah Classic with a six-shot lead, looking for his first win on the DP World Tour.
On Saturday, the 211th-ranked New Zealander fired a 7-under 65 for a 54-hole total of 19-under 197.
At Al Hamra Golf Club, the latest stop on the tour’s “Desert Swing,” Pablo Larrazabal (68), Adri Arnaus (66), Adrian Meronk (64) and Scott Jamieson (65) are tied for second place.
“My head’s in a good place,” Fox said. “Ask me that on the first tee tomorrow, and I might have a somewhat different answer.”
“I’ve put myself exactly where I want to be, and tomorrow is all up to me.” Someone is going to have to go pretty low, or I’m going to have to play really bad, so hopefully I can keep playing like I have the last few days and put it out of reach.”
