TPC Scottsdale’s fanatics on the par-3 16th hole have little reason to rejoice.
With a pair of aces the last two days, Sam Ryder and Carlos Ortiz supplied motivation. On Sunday, Harry Higgs and Joel Dahmen both incited the crowds, but neither made a hole-in-one. In fact, neither of them made a birdie, opting instead for a pair of pars.

The shirtless celebrations, not the scores, were the reason for another spectacular beer shower at No. 16.
After a 10-foot par save, Higgs dazzled the fans, but Dahmen outdid him by ripping it all off… Fortunately, it was only the garment that was damaged.
When Dahmen learnt of the final-round matchup on Saturday evening, he hinted at such acts on social media.
Dreams do come true! If we get enough retweets @harryhiggs1991 will take his shirt off on 16 tomorrow! pic.twitter.com/9n9I29BZPk

Any number of retweets would have likely sufficed. It’s ideal for the PIP and Netflix documentary series.
Those in the coliseum grandstands pelted everyone and everything โ including the 16th green โ with beer, just as they did after Ryder and Ortiz hit their 1’s this weekend.
