The Players Championship field is deep this week, with nearly all of the top 50 players in the world vying for a $20 million prize pool and a $3.6 million payday for the winner.
Kevin Na, who is now placed 29th in the Official World Golf Ranking (and 45th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings), pulled out of the tournament on Monday, following in the footsteps of Bryson DeChambeau, who announced his withdrawal from TPC Sawgrass on Sunday night.
I decided to WD from the @THEPLAYERSChamp we are expecting our 3rd child this week!

While DeChambeau’s WD was prompted by an injury, Na’s choice was motivated by his family. He and his wife, Julianne, are expecting a new addition to their family of four.
Na withdrew from the BMW Championship at Medinah in 2019 to be with his wife when his son Leo LeeWoo Na was born, in a similar fashion. Sophia Ria Na, the couple’s daughter, was born to them.
Taylor Moore has been added to the lineup in place of Na, and Patrick Rodgers is now the first alternate.
