Who’s up for some Slime Time?
On Thursday, Nickelodeon unveiled the Nickelodeon Slime Cup, a new golf program that will include PGA Tour stars Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, and Jon Rahm, as well as Lexi Thompson of the LPGA Tour. Saquon Barkley of the New York Giants and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers, as well as actor Terry Crews and Nick Stars Isaiah Crews, Kate Godfrey, Jaidyn Triplett, and Tyler Wladis, will also appear. Gabrielle Nevaeh Green will be on hand to provide commentary.
Four teams of three will compete, each with a professional golfer, a celebrity, and a Nickelodeon star. Additional performers are still to be revealed. The Nickelodeon Slime Cup is a two-round tournament with holes themed after Nickelodeon programmes. The “Unfairway,” the last event, will determine who wins the Slime-green blazer and, of course, who gets slimed.
“Key members from the team behind the popular made-for-TV golf series, The Match,” according to a press release, will assist in the production of an hour-long program set on a “Nick-ified” golf course with the last hole inside the Rose Bowl. The event will air later this summer, with production starting this month in Los Angeles.
