Place your bets today for the 2043 Masters if little Sammy Spieth is anything like his father.
The three-time major champion announced on Twitter and Instagram on Wednesday afternoon that his wife, Annie, had given birth to their son, Sammy.
“Sammy Spieth was born on November 14th.” Mama and baby are doing fantastic! “I’m grateful!” Spieth posted a picture of the infant boy holding his hand on social media.
This year has seen a comeback for the 28-year-old. After starting 2021 at No. 92 in the world, the former world No. 1 came back into the top 10 for the first time in three years at the beginning of this month (he now sits 11th). Spieth won the Valero Texas Open in April for the first time since the 2017 Open Championship, then finished T-3 at the Masters a month later. Spieth completed his best season on Tour since 2017 with runner-up results at the Charles Schwab Challenge and the Open Championship.
