We realize this is a bit of a stretch, but Tiger Woods is now listed in the field for the 2022 Masters, and it’s hard not to get excited.
Yes, he has stated that he has no idea when he would return. Yes, Augusta National is one of the most difficult courses on the Tour. Yes, it’s difficult to believe his leg is even close to 100 percent.
He has, however, previously shocked us.
Less than a year after a single-car accident that left his lower body in tatters, Woods and his son, Charlie, came close to winning the PNC Championship.
And, before you say it, sure, the PNC Championship is simply a “hit and giggle,” as Woods phrased it. However, they came close to winning and looked great while doing so.
And how quickly do we forget that he’s already demonstrated his ability to come back from injury and win the Masters? It was three years ago when he did it.
Among those in the field is the name of Woods.
Nothing to see here. https://t.co/Y9isuJs4s9

Isn’t it enough to get you going? What do you think about this?
The Masters’ website lists Phil Mickelson as a past champion that won’t be playing in the 2022 Masters.

Sure, Woods could still withdraw from this year’s first men’s major in the coming days, but it’s impossible not to get excited about the prospect of the 15-time major champion returning to Augusta National.
Just to let you know, he has a +5000 chance of winning.
