In Brookline, Massachusetts, the USGA has released a list of final and local qualifying locations for the US Open.

From April 25 to May 23, there will be 109 local 18-hole qualifiers held in 44 states and Canada. Players that advance through the locals will join other exempt players for 36 holes of final qualifying on May 23 or June 6 at 11 locations around the United States, Canada, and Japan.

The 2022 U.S. Open will be held at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, from June 16 to 19.

“Through a two-stage qualifying procedure established well than 60 years ago, the US Open enables thousands of professional and amateur golfers from all over the world the opportunity to earn a place in the event,” said John Bodenhamer, chief championships officer for the USGA. “Allied Golf Associations in the United States, as well as the Japan Golf Association and Golf Canada, are collaborating with us to provide a pathway to The Country Club in June, where we can showcase the world’s best players once again.”

Local qualifying registration is open from Feb. 23 through April 13.

For last year’s U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, the USGA received 9,069 entries. The 2014 championship at Pinehurst No. 2 set a new record with 10,127 entries.
