He’s returned.
After fighting through injuries to his left hand and hip, Bryson DeChambeau is making his first appearance on the PGA Tour since the Farmers Insurance Open in January.
DeChambeau was drawn to play Richard Bland, who is making his first participation in the event and averages 292 yards off the tee at 49 years old, in the opening round of the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday.
DeChambeau, on the other hand, drew driver on the par-4 first tee and flared it out to the right. His ball ended up in a tent after a few bounces.
It’s exactly how he drew it up.

Last season, Rory McIlroy threw a ball into someone’s pool at this event.
DeChambeau battled to make bogey and halve the hole after taking a free drop.
