Dan and Tessa Sullivan founded Solo Golf in 2017 with the goal of bringing men’s streetwear flair to the golf course. In 2020, the couple opened a year-long brick-and-mortar pop-up shop outside of Boston, Massachusetts, to showcase the company’s aesthetic and the couple’s passion for it.
The Sullivans are fashionistas, but they feel that fashion should be expressed in a unique way on the course. The duo believes that not every male golfer fits the stereotype of a conventional golfer. Introducing Solo, which encourages everyone to play the sport with their own sense of style.
Solo updated a classic style, such as the golf vest, by making it more utilitarian and warm. A Fleece-Blocked design with a high neckline, many pockets, and a hood has been added to the vest, which has always been a basic item in every golfer’s wardrobe. Hooded garments are becoming more popular in golf fashion as a way to keep warm throughout the colder months. The Core Hooded Vest is easy to swing in and has a fitted fit, fleece chest plate, and micro-fleece inner.
The classic collared polo is owned by every golfer, but Solo has launched a multipurpose long sleeve shirt. This shirt has a band collar with four buttons, which gives it a sportier collared look while keeping the streetwear flair.
